Common questions

Straight answers

What does a new roof cost?

It depends on the size and pitch of the roof, the material, how many layers are coming off, and what the deck looks like once it is exposed. That is why the estimate is free and on site — a number over the phone before anyone has seen the roof is a guess, not an estimate.

Do you handle insurance claims?

We document the damage and give you a written scope you can put in your claim file, and we can meet the adjuster at the property. We are contractors, not public adjusters, so we do not negotiate the claim on your behalf — that is a separately licensed role in Texas.

Do you do repairs, or only full replacement?

Both. Plenty of roofs need a section of flashing or a handful of shingles rather than a tear-off, and it is worth finding that out before you spend on a replacement you do not need yet.

How soon can you come out?

Request a free estimate and we will follow up with an honest timeframe. After a hail event, every roofer in the county is booked out, and we would rather give you a real date than a comfortable one.

How do I check out a contractor in Texas?

Texas does not issue a statewide roofing license, so a license number is not the check people assume it is. Ask any contractor you are considering for a current certificate of insurance, get the scope in writing, and be cautious about paying a large deposit up front.

What areas do you cover?

We are based in San Marcos and work across Hays County and the I-35 corridor — Kyle, Buda, Wimberley, New Braunfels, and south Austin. If you are not sure whether you are in range, request a free estimate and we will let you know.
